Design & Designer 063 Maki
BNased in the outskirts of Groningen, Dutch studio Maki was created when graphic designer Matthijs Maat teamed up with illustrator Kim Smits in 2005. The duo have enjoyed steadily growing success, flowing from the comlementary nature of their formal talents and sensibilities, which produce an original, fresh and sometimes knowingly naive style of linework. Keen contributors to threadless, an online platform for selling t-shits, they wrote and designed the book Custom Shoes.
